Join us on Wednesday April 19, for the next interview in the Consular Conversations series presented by Miller & Martin PLC, featuring Mio Maeda, Consul General of Japan.
This special edition of the monthly Consular Conversations is to be held at The Carter Center, which houses the Peace Bell given to President Carter as a symbol of friendship between the people of Japan and Georgia and is co-sponsoring the event.
The discussion with Consul General Maeda will include a one-on-one interview with Global Atlanta Managing Editor, Trevor Williams, followed by a moderated audience Q&A.
The luncheon will take place in the Cyprus room, which overlooks the Carter Center’s Japanese garden and Cyprus lawn. After lunch, guests are invited to participate in a bell-ringing ceremony at the Peace Bell Tower overseen by the Japan-America Society of Georgia in advance of the International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace set to be commemorated at the United Nations on April 24.
A summary of the event will be published in an article following the discussion. Consular Conversations Annual Pass holders have included access to the in-person event and exclusive access to a post-event recording of the discussion if they’re unable to attend.
