Peace Bell Tower Project

Japan and Georgia share a long history of friendship, economic ties, and cultural/educational exchange. To celebrate this long-lasting connection, the Japan-America Society of Georgia, Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Georgia, Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta, and JETRO Atlanta seek to construct a belltower for the Peace Bell housed at The Carter Center as a symbol of friendship between the people of Japan and Georgia. Through the project, various Japanese-affiliated organizations in Georgia will partner to showcase each group’s own unique history and also highlight the cultural, educational, economic, and social impact Japan has had in Georgia and Georgia in Japan.

平和の鐘 プロジェクト  

日本とジョージア州は、友好、経済、文化的/教育的交流などを通じて長い歴史を共有しています。この両者の長期に渡る交流関係を祝うために、ジョージア日米協会、ジョージア日米商工会、アトランタ日本総領事館並びにジェトロアトランタが協力して、日本とジョージア州の人々の友情のシンボルとして、カーターセンターにある平和の鐘を収める鐘撞堂を建設する計画を立てています。このプロジェクトを通じて、ジョージア州の日本関連組織が協力して、各グループ独自の歴史を紹介すると共に、日本とジョージア州がお互いに授与した文化的、教育的、経済的、社会的影響にも焦点を当てます。 この二者の関係の重要性を意識することにより、日本コミュニティは、次期世代のあらゆる背景の人々が喜び祝えるように、 平和と理解の伝統を残すことに期待しております。
